Carole Radziwill Recalled Her Favorite Moment on The Real Housewives of New York City, But Admits It's "Unusual"

The RHONY alum reflected on her six seasons on the show during a speech she gave to college students.

Carole Radziwill is not returning to The Real Housewives of New York City next season, but she certainly is staying busy. The veteran journalist just shared that she had been tapped to give a speech at the University of Rhode Island Harrington School of Communication & Media, in which she would describe her career in media. During the talk, which was aptly titled "'From Real to Reality," Carole touched upon some of the highilghts from her time as a member of the RHONY gang.

As shown in a Facebook livestream of Carole's speech, the writer took questions from the crowd at the conclusion of her speech. When an audience member asked her to share her "most favorite memory" from her time on RHONY, Carole answered: "I had a lot of fun on the show. It was a steep learning curve, but it was fun. But I would say [last season] I ran the New York City Marathon ... So that was an enormous feat to film. And then, of course, I met Adam [Kenworthy], my boyfriend at the time."

As viewers saw over the course of three seasons, Carole initially met the chef in Luann de Lesseps' kitchen (!), and a years-long romance  began. Over the course of their three-plus years together, the duo worked on a cookbook, shacked up together, and ultimately decided to end things as friends. But, Carole's still grateful to have all the memories on tape.

Speaking to the college crowd about that immortal moment at chez Luann, Carole shared: "It's funny 'cause that moment exists on tape. It's a funny and an unusual thing to have the moment you meet someone who you end up having almost a three-plus year relationship [with]. So that's a fun thing to have."

Earlier in her speech, the RHONY alum shared the advice one of her career mentors, Christiane Amanpour, gave her when she was considering signing on for the reality show. "When I was asked to do it, I was 47 years old," she recalled. "It was completely counterintuitive to anything I had done in my past and I remember calling Christiane and was like, 'I was asked to do this reality show...' I said, 'It's called Housewives and it's a lot of women who talk loudly over each other and are very opinionated...' And to Christiane's credit, she said, and she was absolutely right, she said: 'It makes perfect sense ... because journalists are by nature and training curious. And just as journalists are attracted to the spectacle of politics and war, they're also attracted to the spectacle of this cultural phenomenon that is Housewives.'"

Below, Carole reflects more on her time on RHONY.
